BartaBangla Desk :: The government has reduced Value Added Tax (VAT) on the price of mobile-phone SIM cards to Tk 300 from Tk 600 and 3G licence to 7.5 percent from present 15 percent.

The decisions were taken in an emergency meeting of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Thursday.

A statutory regulatory order (SRO) was also issued after the meeting.
